The SC-USB485 is a self powered, 1K Vdc isolated serial interface adapter which offers an easy way to connect a USB port to a RS485 network without any power adapters. The isolating circuitry prevents ground loops commonly found in industrial environments. Status LEDs indicate device power, receive and transmit activity. A 3 pole removable terminal block provides the network connection and the unit is packaged in an aluminum extruded case.
